Dying with Dignity - Understanding our cultural journeys

Join us for one of two informative sessions to further understand a number of cultural journeys when dying with dignity.

Totara Hospice - Conference Room, 140 Charles Prevost Drive, The Gardens
Session one: 3pm - 4.30pm

Session two: 6pm - 7.30pm

Ensuring that people have equity of outcomes at the end of life requires an awareness and commitment to deliver culturally appropriate palliative care. We invite you; whether you are staff or volunteer at Totara Hospice or a member of the community, to join us to explore and learn different cultural beliefs that can help us to understand our patients’ needs on their final journey.

Both sessions will welcome speakers who will share what traditional and customary practices may be considered within their culture to ensure appropriate and respectful care is given to all at Totara Hospice and within the community.

Refreshment and light food will be available.
Please RVSP to Hayley with your prefered time via hayley.newton@hospice.co.nz or 09 640 0280 before the 5th of October as spaces are limited.
