Visitor Information

In Patient Visitors

Our Inpatient Rooms are located at Totara House, 140 Charles Prevost Drive, The Gardens, Manurewa (location map). Each room has its own ensuite and space for guests to visit their loved ones.

Additionally we have family lounges throughout the Unit where patients, families and visitors can gather together. We also have lovely gardens and outdoors areas - including a children's playground. All we ask is that all families respect each others situation and privacy.

Visiting hours are not restricted. Family/whanau and friends are welcome. We do however ask that anyone visiting between the hours of 8pm and 7am liaise with our IPU Nursing team and the patient/their caregiver beforehand. For safety reasons all visitors are required to sign our Visitors Book.

We understand at some stages of our patients journey, close loved ones may want to stay over. We can accommodate limited numbers. Please liaise with your Nursing team should you need to arrange this.

Whānau Flat

For large families or out of town whānau who wish to stay overnight there is a Whānau Flat available – this is a a self-contained 2 bedroom unit on our grounds. A bond  is required and nominal daily fees apply. If you are interested in arranging a stay, please feel free to discuss with your Hospice team.
