Without the fantastic support from volunteers Totara Hospice simply wouldn’t be able to provide all the services our patients and families need.
Our volunteers make a real difference to the lives of thousands of people in our community every year. As a charity we are truly grateful for each volunteer that brings their passion, skills and precious gift of time to Make Hospice Happen.
There are many ways to help us here at Totara Hospice, whether it’s working alongside the team in the Inpatient Unit, serving coffees at Café Aroha, driving patients to appointments across the community, or maybe you love retail - we have over 200 volunteers in our Hospice Charity Shops. We also are always looking for event and community appeal support. Across our services we have all types of volunteers, from hairdressers to electricians to mindfulness practitioners; volunteering opportunities are endless. We are always on the lookout for compassionate, reliable, fun people who would love to truly make a difference in their community via Hospice volunteering.
