South Auckland Motors Ladies Lunch for Totara Hospice a success for 2020!
After an absence in the community due to COVID-19, it was great to finally welcome back smiling faces to the annual Ladies Lunch event. We welcomed over 220 guests to a delicious three-course lunch, hosted by the lovely Carolyn Taylor and featuring our special guest host, Ganesh Raj from the recent TVNZ Show, ‘Eat Well For Less’! Ganesh filled the room with laughter pulling people up from the crowd to complete a fun dumpling-making challenge. The talented and internationally acclaimed singer, Will Martin then took the stage and had all the ladies in love after a breathtaking performance!

The Hospice Retail Shop Fashion Show was back this year, which showcased both designer and high street fashion from our Hospice Shops with the stunning models being hospice staff including nurses, doctors and counsellors, some of which pulled out all the moves on the ‘catwalk’! The lunch itself was beautifully prepared and donated by local Howick restaurant, Daisy Chang. Their talented chefs created the delicious main dish of Pork and Prawn Singaporean Noodles. The scrumptious entrée and desserts went down a treat and were prepared in house by Café Aroha – the onsite café at Totara Hospice.

This amazing lunch raises much-needed funds so support can continue for patients and their whānau cannot happen without our funding sponsors South Auckland Motors and Resthaven Funerals.
We also have amazing local community support on the day including, The Gardens School, Alfriston College as well as our amazing Senior Youth Ambassadors.
