Family Support and
Bereavement Services Manager

Auckland South - Ref. HK/FAM-SUPP/HK

  • Add real value and make a difference to the community
  • Opportunity to shape brand new role
  • Supportive, warm and friendly environment

You're a registered counsellor who's passionate about making a real difference to the lives of patients and their families...but that's not the only string to your bow. Your management talents are virtually beyond compare and you'd love nothing more than taking a strong capable team of people and make them even stronger.

Adopt this newly established role of Family Support and Bereavement Services Manager and you'll manage three direct reports and work alongside the Senior Clinical Team to provide leadership, management and coordination while fostering the development of a cohesive team.  Your commitment to ensuring comprehensive quality service will come to the fore as you get involved in annual planning, innovative issue resolution, coordinating systems, growing community links and more. And, given that this is also a very hands-on role, providing individual and group counselling will be all in a day's work.

Here your proven leadership skills and your counselling experience within a health setting will be complemented by outstanding communication and relationship-building know-how. With strong management expertise and a knack for addressing issues professionally you're very credible and adept at group facilitation.  To top it off you've the perfect balance of decisiveness and flexibility.

In return for your compassion and management nous you'll receive a competitive salary, car park, mobile and some great professional development opportunities. But the real appeal is the opportunity to give back to the community - while working in a warm, supportive environment.
So, if finding the perfect approach is something that comes naturally (whether you're dealing with a patient and their family or leading your talented team of counsellors and social workers) here's where you can really make your mark - and benefit the wider community while you're at it!
