Totara Lodge is a 9 bed unit, which provides 24 hour inpatient medical and nursing care. Admission may be for symptom control, short-term respite care, and end of life care when this is no longer possible at home.

Totara Lodge has been designed to provide the highest possible degree of comfort, peace and dignity. Large single rooms with ensuite have been designed to enable family/carers to remain with their loved one if desired. Lounges, sunrooms, chapel and extensive outdoors area including children’s  playground, are available for your use. We have an open hours visiting policy. If you wish, visitors can be restricted by asking your nurse.

A self-contained family/whanau room is available for use by patients relatives. We acknowledge that pets are an important part of your life and they are welcome to visit.
