From the Chief Executive Sep09
We are excited to announce the Hospice’s new fundraising campaign, our first with Hospice Ambassador Valerie Vili, the Valerie Vili Rose Garden.
The campaign was launched in July and we look forward to your support of this exciting project which is profiled in this newsletter. Our heartiest congratulations go to Valerie on her recent success at the World Athletics Championship in Berlin.
Business and community groups assist the Hospice greatly in the many fundraising activities they undertake for our benefit. A big thank you goes to Farmers Manukau and Ian Ross for the fundraising activities that they have undertaken on behalf of the Hospice, which you will read about in this newsletter. We look forward to having your company at the Otahuhu Rotary Wine Makers Lunch in October.
The Hospice receives excellent support from businesses within our community for which we are very grateful. There are a wide variety of ways that businesses can work with the Hospice, all of which provide us with hugely valuable funds and resources and enable us to continue to provide free care and support to patients and their families.
We believe that partnerships with businesses should be mutually beneficial and make an active contribution to your business objectives as well as the increasingly important area of corporate social responsibility. If you want to know more, or have ideas of how you might be able to help the Hospice just give me a ring on 640 0285 or email me at gary.sturgess@hospice.co.nz
