New Look Hospice Shops
Our shop refurbishment program kicked off in July with the renovation of our retail store at School Corner, Papatoetoe.
The new look is designed to make a more pleasant shopping experience where people can find what they want easier and quicker. Nothing has changed – our prices are still sharp, our staff and volunteers are still friendly and helpful, we simply have a new layout and a new look. Our new look is also designed to use better branding to assist in the community awareness of Hospice.
Already sales have shown a significant increase (at writing this article sales were up 50% on the same period last year!) which is great as our retail business becomes increasingly important in our need to raise funds to continue to provide our palliative care service free of charge to the South Auckland community.
We would like to thank the following people who all donated or heavily discounted their time, products and materials to help us to complete our massive renovation for only a very small cost:
• Pat Gubb - built our new changing rooms and sorting area free of charge • Dynamic Signs -heavily discounted our new external signage • RMS Shopfitters -heavily discounted our new shop fittings and donated some items
• Bunnings Manukau - donated some construction materials • Bunnings Botany - donated some construction materials • Ali Stanton from Stanton Builders - donated some construction materials • Dulux - donated the paint • Con Linton - heavily discounted his finishing and painting If you would like to help with any of our shop refurbishments, we are looking for builders, painters, sign writers, material suppliers, shopfitting firms and many others. We have 6 more shops to complete in the next 2 years and would love any support that we can get from our community. Please call Matt Adams on 640 0243 if you would like to find out more about how you can help.
