Farmers Manukau Fundraising
We are delighted that Farmers Manukau chose Hospice South Auckland as their charity to commemorate their 100 years birthday celebrations.
Farmers have been fundraising nationally since June and will finish with great gusto at the end of August. The amount raised by each store nation wide will be matched $ for $ by their Head Office. Farmers Manukau have worked with great enthusiasm from their management and staff to achieve the best possible result for Hospice. Events in store such as ethnic lunches attended by the deputy Mayor of Manukau Gary Troup along with Counties and Manurewa Police were a huge success. Clayton Park School Kapahaka performances, garage sale, Masquerade Social, and Quiz Night have been just some of the fundraisers enjoyed by all.
Hospice and local volunteers have done bucket collections at the door over this period and contributed greatly to an exciting outcome that we look forward to with great anticipation at the end of the month. We will publish the final result in our next newsletter. It is very heartening indeed to experience local business getting in behind our organisation helping us to continue to provide our free palliative care service to our community.
Thank you for caring Farmers.
