Rotary and Hospice
On March 20th The Howick and Half Moon Bay Rotary Clubs in conjunction with the Bucklands Beach Yacht Club held their annual Charity Regatta.
Hospice South Auckland was once again nominated as one of their masthead charities and in spite of the tight economic outlook they managed to put 35 sponsored boats on the water and we will benefit to the tune of five thousands of dollars plus as a result of this successful fundraiser. We are indebted to these two Clubs whom over recent years have donated over $20,000 to our Hospice. They are an example of the many community groups from which support is so vital in helping raise the $2m we need in order to continue our vital service. Thank you Rotary.
