Welcome to Robyn Allen.
Hi, my name is Robyn Allen. In December 2008 my family and I transferred to the Auckland Region from Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, where I worked as a Palliative Nurse within Waipuna Hospice looking after patients in the Welcome Bay area.
Since transferring I was fortunate enough to obtain a Registered Palliative Nurse Community position with Hospice South Auckland helping to serve the Manurewa area. Six months on, I am thoroughly enjoying the diversity of the area and the challenges that the South Auckland area bring to my new role. I have met some wonderful people along the way, and it remains a privilege to work in this field of nursing.
Palliative Care remains my passion and I hope to continue adding to my knowledge in this field of nursing by completing my Postgraduate Diploma later this year, with the hope of commencing my Masters Degree in Palliative Care at the beginning of 2010.
