Special thanks to Whitehouse Tavern Trust

White House Tavern Trust Papakura has loyally supported Hospice South Auckland since 2005.

Hospice Community Nurse Gwen Singer says:
It is with great pleasure that I receive the keys to this new car. As a Community Palliative Care Nurse working in Otahuhu and Otara for 12 years my main role is to meet new patients in their homes and to assess how they are coping and to provide nursing support throughout their illness.
I assess the patient for pain and other symptoms and act as a liaison between them and other health providers. I keep them informed about what to expect from their treatments. It is truly a privilege to support patients and their families at a vulnerable time in their lives. I am always amazed at the kindness of the public in supporting Hospice and I thank Whitehouse Tavern Trust for their generosity in supplying a new car to enable me to continue my rewarding work.
