Christmas Cheer for Hospice 2009
Lee Marsden, volunteer at Hospice South Auckland, once again excelled in her wonderful way of supporting the Hospice at Christmas.
All who visit Lee’s garden in Fratley Ave Farm Cove are overjoyed at the magnificent light show and decorations displayed in a truly beautiful setting. The work involved in putting everything together is enormous for Lee who starts the project in August and continues right through to December. Lee comments……. “I never dreamt that from a small gesture of a few lights at Christmas 7 years ago in memory of my Mother, Father and Sister who had all passed away around Christmas time that it would end up being the display it is today, where people come each year to also remember their loved ones and leave a donation for Hospice”. Lee would like to extend a thank you to the ladies from Monday Day Stay at Hospice who came to help her keep an eye on things. A lot of encouraging feedback from the community tells us that all who shared in the joy of rejoicing the spirit of Christmas with Lee thank her from the bottom of their hearts. Lee has raised a magical $25,243 for our patient care in the last 5 years.
