Hospice Thanks Farmers Manukau City

We were thrilled to be the chosen charity by Farmers Manukau to celebrate their 100 years and to be recognized by Farmers for the work Hospice South Auckland does in our community.

Hospice were very impressed by the tremendous efforts put in by Farmers staff, supported by their customers over the three months of fundraising from June to August. Farmers held a store celebration breakfast where Chair of Hospice John Savory and CE Gary Sturgess were presented with a cheque for $57,720 which was the fourth highest amount raised throughout their 58 stores. Well done Farmers Manukau.
The efforts of Farmers Management and staff to help raise the profile of Hospice in the community was truly appreciated. A big thank you to Hospice and community volunteers who assisted in the bucket collections in the store over the three month period it was a grand effort by all.
The money raised will go to meet our ongoing operational costs. This year we need to raise $2.68million to meet our operational and capital requirements to achieve our overall goal – to provide the best care for our patients and their families so that they can live every moment of every day.
