Devi Says Thank You
Thank you for your unwavering support our family received during and after our mum's encounter with cancer. Mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January 2010. During this time when we felt our world come tumbling down, the Hospice Team was our "lifeline".
The nurses with whom we had the most contact, always listened as we talked through the numerous concerns we had. It was comforting to know we were not alone. They assisted us with referrals for equipment, prescriptions from doctors and appointments with counselors.
The compassionate care and support we experienced from the staff at Hospice eased some of our fears and stresses. In the middle of the night, when I found myself saying, "What do I do now?" it was reassuring to be able to use the 24 hour help line.
Our family is grateful that we were informed about what was happening and also what was going to happen. One will never be prepared for when the end comes. Having the support from Hospice to care for someone in their final days, makes a significant difference to how to deal with the grief when the end comes.
